What is a health plan member?
A health plan member is a person who has arranged for health insurance by signing up for and agreeing to a health insurance plan.
The health plan member is covered for certain healthcare services as defined by the health insurance plan, in exchange for paying a monthly premium. In order to benefit from the health insurance plan, the health plan member agrees to comply with certain financial terms such as a paying a deductibleand agreeing to copayments and coinsurance.
