What is preferred provider organization?
Preferred provider organization (PPO) is a type of health insurance plan. In a PPO, the health insurance plan contracts with independent providers at a discount for health care services. The health plan members may go outside the network, but would pay a greater percentage of the cost of coverage than within the network.
